The new facility will significantly contribute to the company's existing capacity in high-volume structural steel production. With this investment, Merrill Steel aims to respond more quickly and effectively to customer demands, particularly in the area of coated and high-quality structural steel.
Merrill Steel President Fred Schwalbach emphasized that the Osceola facility is a strategic step in the company's growth plans, stating:
"The addition of the Osceola facility will perfectly complement our existing facilities. This will enable us to provide our established customer base with high-volume, high-quality, coated structural steel. This investment will not only increase our capacity but also advance the quality of service we offer our customers.
Company officials stated that construction will begin in the coming months and that the facility is expected to be fully operational by the end of 2026.
Merrill Steel currently has three production facilities operating in Wisconsin and Mississippi. With this new investment, the company aims to provide faster service to its customer network across the United States and increase its competitive strength.
