Machinery industry sets sights on new markets at WIN EURASIA

Türkiye's machinery sector—driven by its digital and green transformation efforts, comprehensive solutions for all manufacturing and service industries, and a market volume exceeding $60 billion—continues to boost its export performance under the leadership of the Turkish Machinery Federation (MAKFED). Türkiye’s machinery sector, which closed 2024 with $28.3 billion in exports and holds a strong global market position, aims to expand into alternative markets and establish new collaborations at WIN EURASIA, taking place at the Istanbul Expo Center on May 28–31, 2025.

Machinery industry sets sights on new markets at WIN EURASIA

Supporting all manufacturing and service industries—as well as the agricultural sector—the industry continues its growth journey with a strong focus on digitalization and green transformation. With its innovative solutions, the sector which completed last year with exports worth 28.3 billion dollars is working to further increase its export volume by targeting new and emerging markets. The Turkish Machinery Federation (MAKFED), which works to advance Türkiye’s machinery manufacturing sector and enhance its global competitiveness in collaboration with related industries, supports the sector’s focus on new markets at WIN EURASIA—the leading Automation and Machine Technologies Trade Fair of the Eurasia region, uniting all segments of the manufacturing industry for over 31 years.

Trade fair offering a technology arena

Zühtü Bakır, Secretary General of the Turkish Machinery Federation (MAKFED), highlighted that although Türkiye’s machinery production stands at $60 billion, the market volume exceeds $80 billion—underscoring the country’s significance in the global machinery sector—and noted that they will focus on alternative markets through WIN EURASIA this year, emphasizing the trade fair’s importance with the following words: “WIN EURASIA has become one of the most important meeting points, transforming our country into a technology arena with machinery manufacturing systems at its core. At WIN EURASIA, visitors have the opportunity to see and experience the latest technologies and emerging trends firsthand. Today, the drive toward unmanned solutions across all manufacturing systems is accelerating, and this shift is more accurately described as 'advanced automation.' As Industry 4.0 continues to take hold in the field, companies must embrace this transformation to remain competitive. With growing interest each year, WIN EURASIA remains one of the most significant gathering points for machinery manufacturers under MAKFED, as well as for technology providers and input suppliers.

A comprehensive industry showcase driving global collaboration

By bringing together all segments of the manufacturing industry under one roof, WIN EURASIA offers a holistic trade fair experience and continues to foster global partnerships while leading sectoral transformation. Speaking about the opportunities offered by the trade fair, Sena Mengül, Head of WIN EURASIA at Hannover Fairs Turkey, stated: “For 31 years, WIN EURASIA has been a hub of innovation and productivity, opening the door to global collaborations through its international visitor base.  It provides exhibitors with the chance to access new markets and gain a competitive edge. As one of the most influential platforms shaping the future of the manufacturing industry, we bring the latest technologies together with industry professionals, fostering strong collaborations in automation, digitalization, and sustainability. The machinery sector plays a vital role in this transformation.

Türkiye stands out as a significant machinery market, with a volume exceeding $60 billion and an export structure that continues to grow. The innovative, digitally driven solutions that the sector will showcase at WIN EURASIA are key to its advancement and expansion into new markets.”

Showcasing technology-driven products and innovative solutions

The 31st edition of WIN EURASIA, which achieved remarkable success in 2024 by hosting 750 exhibitors and 41,554 visitors from 19 countries, is expected to attract even greater interest this year. In 2025, the trade fair is set to showcase technology-driven products and solutions to industry professionals, offering a comprehensive vision for automation and sectoral development through its expanding range of product groups. The trade fair will feature core components of production processes, including Electrical, Electronics and Energy Automation, Industrial and Factory Automation, Robotic Automation and Digital Factory Technologies, as well as Machine Automation and Welding Technologies. Additionally, dedicated areas focused on future production technologies will be among the highlights of the event. Sections such as the 5G Arena, Welding Application Special Area, and Industrial Artificial Intelligence will showcase the latest developments shaping the industry. Moreover, the Hydrogen and Fuel Cells Special Area will present sustainable solutions, emphasizing innovations in energy transformation.
