Mani said in a statement to an AA correspondent at the Libya Economy and Energy Summit that Libya’s Government of National Unity is making continuous efforts to increase trade volume with Türkiye.
Mani noted that Türkiye is one of the most important markets exporting products to Libya and has a significant impact on the Libyan market. He said that many Turkish companies are involved in both new contracts and the renewal of previous projects, particularly in infrastructure projects, airports, and roads. “Türkiye has become and will continue to be a strategic economic and trade partner for the Libyan state.”
Recalling that Libya launched a tender for oil and natural gas exploration in November 2025 for the first time in 17 years, Mani stated that Turkish companies are among the most prominent applicants. He noted that the results of the public tender are expected to be announced within four weeks, adding, “We wish success to all global companies that establish strategic partnerships with us.”
Mani emphasized that Libya is no longer a high-risk market and now offers various investment opportunities. He underlined that Libya is an attractive market, especially for companies investing in the renewable energy sector in Türkiye. “Alongside conventional energy, we aim to achieve energy diversification through renewable energy. This represents an important opportunity for Turkish companies.”
Stating that Libya is open to international partnerships, Mani expressed his satisfaction with the long-standing cooperation with Türkiye. “Turkish contractors and companies are implementing many projects with us every day. We are proud of these partnerships and are determined to support and further develop them.”
Mani also recalled the 22nd Term Türkiye–Libya Joint Economic Commission Meeting held on January 24, co-chaired by Türkiye’s Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar and Libya’s Minister of Transport Mohammed Al-Shuhubi. He noted that the meeting resulted in an agreement to enhance economic partnerships and address issues that have been pending for the past 20 years.
