Large investment from Chinese Tsingshan to Chile

According to the statement of Chilean President Gabriel Boric, China's Tsingshan Holding Group will make a major investment of $ 233.2 million in the production of lithium iron phosphate (LFP), an important component used in electric vehicles.

Large investment from Chinese Tsingshan to Chile

Chile, which has the world's largest lithium reserves, will host this initiative.

The facility is expected to be operational in May 2025 and could create 668 job opportunities when operating at full capacity. Officials have set a target of producing 120,000 tonnes of LFP as part of this initiative.
