Kardemir's 'Power Plant' has been commissioned

Kardemir (KRDMD) announced the commissioning of the 'Power Plant 3.3 kV Main Energy Distribution Center,' which has been modernized with advanced technology and equipped with an integrated energy monitoring system as part of its modernization projects.

Speaking at the ceremony held at KARDEMİR's Energy Facilities Department, KARDEMİR Chairman Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir stated:

“These advancements will be achieved by following various investments and modern trends. Investing means creating resources for those investments. Creating resources means ensuring the company’s profitability, efficiency, and consequently sustaining future investments. However, if we cannot fulfill this cycle and delay investments, we cannot build the future of our company. Therefore, investments and modernization are indispensable for KARDEMİR. In response to changing times, energy efficiency, green production, and new trends emerging worldwide, we will adapt through modernization, digitization, and data generation,” he said. Expressing his hopes that the facility will be beneficial for KARDEMİR and  Türkiye, Demir added, “I hope we can continue to establish new collaborations with Siemens and maintain a win-win principle with a spirit that brings our domestic projects to life.”

Siemens Türkiye Supports KARDEMİR's Energy Transformation and Security

Dr. Hüseyin Gelis, Chairman of the Board and CEO of Siemens Türkiye, expressed pride in supporting KARDEMİR's vision for energy transformation and security. He stated that they are modernizing KARDEMİR's energy infrastructure with the goal of increasing production efficiency, while emphasizing that they have provided systems that require no maintenance for 35 years to ensure uninterrupted energy supply.

Highlighting the importance of sustainability, reducing carbon footprint, and enhancing competitiveness, Gelis mentioned that Siemens is ready to leverage its experience in hydrogen and carbon capture projects for the industry. He also noted that they stand beside all business partners in the face of increasing cybersecurity threats during the digitalization process
