KARDEMİR signed a contract with TCDD for the sale of 22,980 tons of rails

Karabük Demir Çelik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. (KARDEMİR) once again demonstrated its production power in the field of rail products with a new domestic agreement.

KARDEMİR signed a contract with TCDD for the sale of 22,980 tons of rails

The Company signed a contract for the sale of a total of 22,980 tons of rails with the TCDD General Directorate, the TCDD High-Speed Train (YHT) Regional Directorate, and seven regional directorates affiliated with TCDD within the scope of railway infrastructure projects to be carried out in December 2025.

Under the agreement, the rails to be produced will be of 60E1 R260 grade and 36 meters in length. These products are planned to be used in railway projects under the TCDD Ankara (2nd Region), İzmir (3rd Region), Sivas (4th Region), Malatya (5th Region), Adana (6th Region), and Afyon (7th Region) Regional Directorates, as well as the TCDD General Directorate and the YHT Regional Directorate.

With the Rail and Profile Rolling Mill it commissioned in 2007, KARDEMİR has strengthened domestic and national rail production capacity and continues to play a significant role in Türkiye’s railway infrastructure investments with its products that meet high quality standards.
