Kardemir lost TRY 1.48 billion in the first quarter

Karabük Demir ve Çelik Fabrikaları AŞ (KARDEMİR) announced its financial figures for the first quarter of 2025.

Kardemir lost TRY 1.48 billion in the first quarter

According to the financial results published by Kardemir, the company announced a loss of TRY 1 billion 481 million 408 thousand in the first quarter of the year.

According to the financial results reported to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), sales revenues decreased compared to the same period last year. Kardemir's sales revenue for the first quarter of 2025 amounted to TRY 14 billion 412 million 599 thousand. In the same period of 2024, sales revenue was TRY 16 billion 860 million. Thus, there was a 14.5% decrease in sales on an annual basis.

The company's earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) was recorded as TRY 1 billion 111 million in the first quarter of 2025. Shareholders' equity decreased by 3% q/q.

Reporting an operating profit of TRY -34.82 million (TRY -34,823,870) in the first quarter of 2024, Kardemir reported TRY -515.44 million (TRY -515,448,815) in the same period of 2025.

Kardemir completed the year 2024 with a net loss of TRY 3 billion 336 million 441 thousand.
