Kardemir (KRDMD) announced on August 14, 2024, through the Public Disclosure Platform (PDP), that it had won bids for mining sites in four different cities listed in the 289th Group tender list announced by the General Directorate of Mining and Petroleum Affairs (MAPEG). The company stated that it had won the bid for a mining site in Balıkesir for TL 2,000,000, and eight mining sites in Kırıkkale for prices ranging from TL 820,000 to TL 1,050,000. Additionally, the company announced that it won the bids for a mining site in Kütahya for TL 8,200,000, and a mining site in Sivas for TL 4,250,000.
The official statement regarding this matter is as follows:
"The following bids, as part of the 289th Group tender list announced by the General Directorate of Mining and Petroleum Affairs (MAPEG), have been won by our company:
- The company has secured a bid for a mining site in Balıkesir province, with a bid price of TL 2,000,000,
- The company has secured bids for eight mining sites in Kırıkkale province, with bid prices ranging from TL 820,000 to TL 1,050,000,
- The company has secured a bid for a mining site in Kütahya province, with a bid price of TL 8,200,000.
