Kametstal metallurgical plant has successfully started production of a new type of steel product on the 400/200 mill - round profile with a diameter of 27 mm. This production, which started in the rolling mill in May, is mainly intended for machine building.
The development of this new product was made possible thanks to the close co-ordination of the rolling mill specialists with the technical department and the calibration bureau. Strict observance of technological parameters and the accumulated experience of previous work allowed to obtain high quality products that meet state standards.
This innovation was successfully implemented in record time, due to the use of internal resources and the avoiding of the trial rolling stage. The first 300 tonnes of products were shipped to local customers.
This 27 mm diameter product is the second new product in the mill's steel product range since the beginning of this year.
