Indian JSW Steel aims to establish a green steel production facility with an annual capacity of 4 million in response to the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) proposed by the EU. The cost and details of the project in question have not been specified yet.
JSW Steel announced that it will complete the first phase of the facility by 2030.
The EU's CBAM application will be valid from 1 October 2023 to 31 December 2025.
