Capacity utilization at its Indian operations reached 88% during April 2024, with iron ore availability constraints from Karnataka mines affecting production volumes. Consequently, the Indian unit of the company recorded a steel production volume of 2.055 million tonnes, marking a 1% year-on-year increase.
JSW Steel USA Ohio reported a steel production volume of 0.066 million tonnes for April 2024, representing an 18% decrease compared to the volume of 0.080 million tonnes recorded in April 2023. In Q3 FY24, the steel manufacturer reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 2,415 crore (approximately 322 million USD), significantly higher than the Rs 490 crore (approximately 65 million USD) recorded in Q3 FY23. Revenue from operations grew by 6.87% year on year to Rs 41,337 crore (approximately 5.51 billion USD) in the quarter ended 31 December 2023.
