In the company’s statement, it was noted that the Middle East’s share in the export market is limited; however, the company reaffirmed its commitment to continuing to serve the region.
Jindal Stainless Managing Director Abhyuday Jindal, in a statement to Reuters, pointed out that deteriorating security conditions are impacting international transportation. Jindal said: “Given the progressively worsening conditions, delays in shipment arrivals can be expected in the near term due to extended transit times on some international shipping routes and in airspace.”
While the company has not yet made a clear assessment regarding potential additional costs, Jindal stated that it is too early to comment on this matter.
It was reported that Jindal Stainless is closely monitoring the evolving geopolitical situation and remains prepared to minimize any potential disruptions in the supply chain and operations. The company is also tracking the availability of certain raw materials sourced from the Middle East.
Jindal emphasized that they are particularly focused on the supply of industrial inputs such as limestone and dolomite used in production, noting that current stock levels are sufficient but alternative supply sources are also being evaluated to prevent any interruption in production.
