Jindal Shadeed signs agreement with Danieli for new technology

Jindal Shadeed Iron & Steel announced an important agreement with Italy-based Danieli, a full-cycle metals processing company since 1914 and a pioneer in green steel technologies, to retrofit its casting machines in Sohar, Oman. This innovation aims to diversify the company's product range and increase production efficiency.

Thanks to the new technology, Jindal Shadeed will be able to produce round steels with diameters of 450 mm and 380 mm and steel products with dimensions of 250x350 mm for rail applications. In addition, innovative automation and control systems, such as advanced electromagnetic mixers, will ensure higher precision and quality in production.

This collaboration with Danieli will allow Jindal Shadeed to expand into new markets and cater to a wider customer base. The new types of specialty steels that the company will offer will be able to cater to many sectors, such as construction, automotive, power generation, infrastructure and chemicals. This diversification is expected to increase the company's market share while expanding its production capacity and sectoral diversification.

The new technologies will be deployed from July 2025 to March 2026 in a “phased” intervention in the production process, minimizing downtime.
