NSSC stated that it took this decision as part of its strategy to adapt to the changing dynamics of the market and maintain its competitiveness. The company aims to boost demand and strengthen its market position with price cuts in various product categories for February sales.
The company's latest price adjustments specifically target austenitic and ferritic grade stainless cold rolled coils and sheets, as well as medium and heavy plates.
NSSC applied a ¥15,000 per tonne ($102/tonne) cut for 300 series stainless steel, which represents a slightly more moderate approach compared to last month's ¥20,000 cut. Similarly, a reduction of ¥5,000 ($34) per tonne was applied for 400 series stainless steel, in line with the previous month's reduction.
This proactive step by NSSC reflects its determination to remain competitive while responding effectively to the changing conditions of the market. By adjusting its prices in line with changing global trends, the company aims to maintain a flexible attitude and sustain customer satisfaction.
