Jai Raj Ispat completes MIDA QLP test with Danieli for its TMT facility

Jai Raj Ispat Limited, located in the Orvakal Mega Industrial Park in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, India, has successfully completed the Performance Guarantee (PG) test at its 350,000 mt/year mill for thermomechanically treated (TMT) reinforcing bars. The facility, which began production only two months ago, has reached a significant milestone by passing this test.

Jai Raj Ispat completes MIDA QLP test with Danieli for its TMT facility

The test and technology implementation were carried out using the MIDA QLP (Quality Long Products) endless casting-rolling technology supplied by the Italian engineering company Danieli. As the first plant in India to adopt this technology, Jai Raj Ispat integrated Danieli’s system, which combines the ladle refining furnace, continuous casting machine, induction heater and high-speed rolling mill in a compact and continuous layout.

The MIDA QLP process converts liquid steel directly into finished TMT bars in a single, energy-efficient operation, minimizing heat losses and intermediate handling, reducing energy consumption and improving metallurgical consistency.

With this configuration, Jai Raj Ispat is able to produce high-quality TMT rebars with lower environmental impact and reduced operating costs.
