Izmir became the second province with the highest increase in exports in october

The Ministry of Trade has released the october export statistics by operational provinces. The Aegean Region increased its exports for the January–October 2025 period by 6%, rising from USD3.594 billion to USD3.776 billion.

In the statement made by the Aegean Exporters’ Associations, the Aegean Region’s 10-month export revenue increased by 2%, rising from USD35.827 billion to USD36.464 billion. During the 10 month period, the Aegean Region accounted for 16.23% of Türkiye’s 224.5 billion products in exports.

Izmir became the second province with the highest export growth

In October 2024, İzmir’s exports amounted to USD1.756 billion , and with a 10% increase, they increased to USD1.929 billion in October 2025, making İzmir the third largest exporting province in Türkiye after Istanbul and Kocaeli.

With USD173 million increase in exports in the cultivation region, Izmir became the second province with the highest export growth.

The leading product groups in İzmir’s exports were mineral fuels and mineral oils with USD418 million 157 thousand, followed by boilers and machinery with USD192 million 595 thousand, and iron and steel with USD180 million 545 thousand.

Germany was the top destination for İzmir’s exports with USD198 million 422 thousand, followed by the United States with USD135 million 126 thousand. Spain ranked third with exports totaling USD124 million 710 thousand.

In the Aegean Region, Uşak broke the export growth record in october

Uşak, which was the Aegean Region’s export champion in september, maintained this title in october as well. Uşak increased its exports from USD42.7 million in October 2024 to USD61.4 million in the same month of 2025, marking a 44% increase.

With the export records it achieved over the last two months, Uşak also managed to shift its 10 month export performance from negative to positive. The province’s export revenue for the 10 month period grew by 4.3%, increased from USD365.8 million to USD381.6 million.

The decline in Manisa’s exports continues

Manisa, the second largest exporting province in the Aegean Region after İzmir, saw its exports decline by 7%, from USD740 million to USD687.5 million. Its 10 month export revenue also decreased by 2% and decreasing from USD6.3 billion to USD6.1 billion.

Denizli’s exports are expected to exceed USD4.5 billion.

Denizli, which demonstrated a successful export performance in 2025, increased its exports in october by 8%, from USD382 million to USD412 million. Its export revenue for the January–October 2025 period grew by 6%, increased from USD3.5 billion to USD3.75 billion. If Denizli maintains this performance over the remaining two months of 2025, its annual exports are expected to exceed USD4.5 billion.

Aydın, Muğla, and Kütahya recorded increases, while Balıkesir and Afyonkarahisar recorded decreases

In October, in the Aegean Region, Aydın, Muğla, and Kütahya recorded increases in exports, while Balıkesir and Afyonkarahisar experienced declines.

Aydın’s exports increased by 4.5%, from USD186 million to USD194.8 million. Muğla increased its October exports by 12%, from USD117.5 million to USD131.3 million. Kütahya’s exports grew by 3%, from USD88 million to USD90.4 million.

Balıkesir’s exports decreased by 4% in October, totaling USD220.5 million, while Afyonkarahisar also recorded a 4% decrease, earning USD48.5 million for Türkiye. Although Afyonkarahisar’s exports declined in October, its 10 month export revenue increased by 23%, from USD586 million to USD720 million, making it the province with the highest export growth in the Aegean Region over the 10 month period.
