Iran's AFA Steel named an Exemplary Industrial and Mining Company by the ministry

Azar Foolad Amin (AFA Steel) has been selected as the country's Exemplary Industrial and Mining Company for 2023 and 2024.


AFA Steel, one of Iran's largest iron and steel companies, received the award at a ceremony organized by the Ministry of Industries, Mines and Trade.


AFA Steel, which produces rebar between 8-32 mm for both domestic and foreign markets in Iran, was deemed worthy of this award for its projects and exemplary production models. Factors that were important in the selection of the company as an exemplary company included production volume, increase in production compared to the previous year, sales volume, increase in sales compared to the previous year, operating profit, production value of goods in stock, energy consumption costs and energy savings.


In addition, research and development costs, personnel training expenditures, export value, percentage increase in exports, increase in the number of employees, human resources training, value chain creation, customer orientation, after-sales services and media communication also contributed to AFA Steel's success. The company's quality management certificates (IMS) that include ISO9001 and environmental certification issued by DQS company of Italy were also an important part of this selection.
