According to a letter issued by the Deputy Ministry of Industry and Mines of Iran, the export of a total of 66 categories of steel products has been suspended until 30.05.2026.
The decision covers slab, hot-rolled coil, cold-rolled coil, uncoated sheet, various coated sheet types, galvanized sheet, colored sheet, tin-coated sheet, galvanized strip, other coated strip products, and colored strip products, which have been included within the export ban.
It was stated that the ban has been implemented based on a previous letter from the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade and a decision of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran. The regulation applies to product groups listed under the relevant customs tariff codes.
The letter also notes that the implementation of the measure is to be carried out by customs authorities, and that the necessary instructions have been communicated to all relevant units. In addition, it was indicated that if the current situation continues, the ban may be extended, and further information will be provided accordingly.
