The project, which forms part of the country’s national energy transition plan, aims to establish a new geothermal system that is expected to generate approximately 175,000 MWh of clean energy annually once completed.
Within the scope of the project, the company supplied around 1,000 tonnes of threaded seamless casing pipes with API Buttress connections. The pipes, with diameters ranging from 7 inches to 13 3/8 inches, were manufactured in accordance with the API 5CT standard and were specially designed to withstand geothermal conditions involving high temperatures and pressures.
Bartłomiej Kania, Interpipe’s Continental Europe Sales Manager, emphasized the critical role of geothermal energy in Europe’s energy transition, stating:
“Geothermal energy is becoming one of the key pillars of Europe’s energy transition. At Interpipe, we offer a broad portfolio of seamless OCTG products specifically developed for geothermal applications. Our UPJ-SP and UPJ-QR connections, compatible with API Buttress, are available in various diameter ranges to meet the needs of the European geothermal market.”
