Turkish Statistical Institute ( TÜİK) published the Industrial Production Index, December 2023 data.
According to the data, industrial production increased by 1.6 percent annually while monthly production was recorded as 2.4 percent.
Therefore, the data, which was in the downward trend in the previous month, pointed to a positive recovery.
Looking at the sub-sectors of industry, in December 2023, the index for mining and quarrying sector decreased by 1.2 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, while the index for manufacturing industry sector increased by 2.1 percent and the index for electricity, gas, steam and HVAC production increased by 4.5 percent.
