The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) announced the Industrial Production Index data for February 2026. Accordingly, industrial production increased by 2.6% in February compared to the previous month and rose by 2.2% year on year. Industrial production had recorded a sharp decline at the beginning of the year.
Examining the sub-sectors of industry (2021=100 base year), the mining and quarrying index increased by 4.1% in February 2026 compared to the same month of the previous year. The manufacturing industry index rose by 2.4%, while the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply index declined by 2.2%.
On a monthly basis, the mining and quarrying index increased by 0.4% compared to the previous month. During the same period, the manufacturing industry index rose by 3.3%, while the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply index decreased by 3.6%.
