In a statement, the Indonesian Anti-Dumping Committee announced that positive preliminary findings were reached in the investigation into the dumping of hot rolled coils of iron or non-alloy steel produced by the company.
Within this framework, Indonesia’s Ministry of Trade recommended the imposition of an ad valorem anti-dumping duty of 17.55 percent or a specific duty of USD 95.02 per metric ton on the products concerned. The statement noted that provisional anti-dumping measures will remain in force for four months if the applied duty is set at the recommended level, or for six or nine months if a lower duty is applied.
The preliminary decision covers hot rolled steel products classified under Indonesia’s customs tariff codes 7208.10.00, 7208.25.00, 7208.26.00, 7208.27.11, 7208.27.19, 7208.27.91, 7208.27.99, 7208.36.00, 7208.37.00, 7208.38.00, 7208.39.10, 7208.39.20, 7208.39.30 and 7208.39.40. It was added that the final assessment will be conducted following the completion of the investigation process.
