The Indonesian Anti-Dumping Commission (KADI) announced on September 1 that it had launched an official anti-dumping investigation into hot-rolled coils made of iron or non-alloy steel originating from China's Wuhan Iron and Steel Group Corporation (WISCO).
The Commission stated that the investigation was initiated based on an application filed by PT Krakatau POSCO on behalf of the domestic industry. A preliminary review found that the evidence submitted by the applicant was sufficient and accurate, and that the products in question were being exported to Indonesia at dumped prices, causing damage to domestic production.
KADI also stated that there was a direct link between the dumping and the damage to domestic production, announcing that the investigation had been formally initiated.
