India’s finished steel product exports & imports increased

According to the data shared by the JPC (Joint Factory Committee), in July 2023, India's exports of finished steel products increased by 35 percent year on year and reached 513,000 tons. India's imports of finished steel products, increased by 32 percent year on year and amounted to 587,000 tons.

Looking at India's crude steel production, it increased by 3% on an annual basis and amounted to 11.52 million tons. Finished steel product production remained almost the same compared to the same month of 2022 and amounted to 10.53 million tons. In addition, finished steel product consumption reached 10.26 million tons, up 3% year on year.
