The Indian Ministry of Steel has announced that it will continue to impose 15% export tax on steel products until December 2022.
The abolition of export taxes would cause an increase in exports and put pressure on domestic prices, so domestic demand would not be met.
On May 22 this year, pig iron, non-alloy hot-rolled and cold-rolled flat products, non-alloy coated steel, rebar, etc. A 15% export tax was imposed on steel products.
