In China, whose steel exports are increasing on an annual basis, this rate is expected to decrease in the second quarter of the year.

Steel exports in the first two months of 2023 were 12.19 million tons with an annual increase of 49 percent, and steel imports are 44 percent compared to January-February 2022. It decreased by 2 percent to 1.23 million tons.

In the April-June period, China's steel exports are expected to be 2.5-3 million tons per month on average.

Exporting 578,000 tons of medium plate and 1.78 million tons of HRC, China also traded 7.26 million tons of steel plate.
