The number of industrial capacity reports for April showed a significant decrease on an annual basis.

According to the information published by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), the number of industrial capacity reports in April decreased by 22.5 per cent to 3 thousand 994.

Industrial capacity reports approved for the first four months of the year decreased by 9.7 per cent compared to the same period last year.

The total number of active capacity reports in the TOBB Industry Database, which was 90 thousand 207 in April 2022, increased by 7.2 percent last month to 96 thousand 664. The total number of employees increased by 5.8 percent in the same period and was calculated as 3 million 941 thousand 619.

The top 5 provinces with the highest number of capacity reports were Istanbul (1094), Ankara (287), Izmir (274), Bursa (217) and Konya (198).
