Organized under the auspices of the Turkish Ministry of National Defense and coordinated by the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation (TSKGV), IDEF will once again bring together major global defense and security companies, creating a key platform for international cooperation and strategic partnerships.
This year’s edition of IDEF will cover 11 halls across a massive 200,000 m² exhibition space, featuring more than 1,400 participating companies and official delegations from over 100 countries, alongside tens of thousands of industry professionals.
Strategic Innovation on Display
The exhibition will showcase a wide range of cutting-edge technologies, including land, naval, air, and cyber defense systems, as well as unmanned platforms, electronic warfare solutions, and next-generation munitions.
One of the key highlights is the Tuwek anti-drone system, developed by Bay Galata. Featuring multi-barrel launchers, radar integration, and a 300-meter effective range, Tuwek offers a strong tactical response to modern drone threats.
Another major unveiling comes from Roketsan, which is presenting its TAYFUN ballistic missile for the first time. With a range of 300 km and advanced resistance to electronic warfare, TAYFUN stands out as a high-speed, high-impact weapon system.
Global Reach and Economic Impact
IDEF 2025 is not only a platform for showcasing new technologies but also a hub for defense diplomacy and global trade. More than 5,000 planned B2B meetings are expected to take place, along with the signing of numerous new contracts.
According to Haluk Görgün, President of the Presidency of Defence Industries, Turkey’s defense exports are growing rapidly, with over $6 billion in new contracts signed in the first half of 2025 alone—underscoring IDEF’s key role in supporting the country’s international ambitions.
Open to the Public
While the fair will be open exclusively to industry professionals from July 22–25, the general public will have access on July 26–27, offering broader audiences a rare look at the latest defense innovations.
DEF 2025 stands out as a strategic platform where innovation and export targets in defense technologies converge. The new systems developed by participating companies are not only technologically advanced but also possess geopolitical influence. This year’s fair will further strengthen Turkey’s position in the global defense arena through innovation, collaboration, and security.
As SteelRadar, we will continue to provide the latest updates through special interviews, product presentations, and industry analyses throughout the fair.
