According to sources speaking to SteelRadar, offers for HRC in the Northern Europe region were seen in the range of €765-780 per ton EXW. HRC prices, which are down by €12.50 per ton on the week, are expected to continue to decline amid limited trading activity.
As buyers expect HRC prices to fall further in the coming weeks, they have not increased their stocks, which has a direct impact on the HRC market. In Southern Europe, HRC prices decreased compared to January, while prices remained stable in February.
Italy's HRC prices, which traded between €735-750 in January, were recorded at €745 in February and remained stable on February 14.
Prices are expected to fall further due to the recession in the HRC market and buyers holding on to their stocks.
