In China, domestic hot rolled coil prices stopped their last rally on Wednesday (August 25th), while industry data points to a production increase in mid-August.

East China (Shanghai): 5,690-5,720 yuan ($879-883) per tonne, easing down by 20 yuan per ton.
The China Iron and Steel Association (Cisa) said on Tuesday morning that its member producers' daily crude steel output averaged 2.14 million tons. During the second 10 days of August, it increased 4.6% over the previous 10-day period.
