According to foreign sources, the domestic hot rolled coil market in Europe remained quiet on Monday (November 8th), with prices showing little change.
However, manufacturers want to achieve higher prices for the first quarter of 2022 due to rising raw material, transportation and energy costs.
Expected replenishment activity from distributors also supports market sentiment. Specifically, some sources said that from this month onwards, the trading activity in the European HRC market has started to gradually rise from the low levels seen in October.
“As market activity started to recover, towards the end of last week, we noticed an increase in the number of inquiries from buyers,” a market official explained.
