HRC imports of Türkiye decreased by 26.8% in February

SteelRadar analysts compiled data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) and reported that Türkiye's imports of hot rolled coil (HRC) in February 2024 decreased by 26.8% yoy to 252,004 tons from 344,326 tons in the same month of the previous year.

In January-February period, total HRC imports increased by 0.65% compared to the same period of the previous year and increased from 663,619 tons to 667,939 tons.

HRC imports of Türkiye were mainly led by China with an increase of 290%, followed by Egypt, South Korea, Russia and France. The country with the largest decrease in imports was Russia, down by 82.9%.
