House sales decreased by 36% in April

According to TÜİK data, house sales in Turkey decreased by 35.6 per cent in April compared to the same month of the previous year and became 85 thousand 652.

In April, 85 thousand 652 house sales were realised in Turkey.

Again, house sales in Turkey decreased by 35.6 per cent in April compared to the same month of the previous year and became 85 thousand 652. Istanbul had the highest share in house sales with 13 thousand 944 house sales and 16.3 per cent.

According to the number of sales, Istanbul was followed by Ankara with 10 thousand house sales and 11.7 percent share and Izmir with 4 thousand 960 house sales and 5.8 percent share. The provinces with the lowest number of house sales were Ardahan and Hakkari with 22 houses and Bayburt with 53 houses, respectively.

Zero house sales decreased by 26 per cent

The number of new house sales in Turkey decreased by 26.0 percent in April compared to the same month of the previous year and became 26 thousand 952. The share of first-hand house sales in total house sales was 31.5 percent. In the January-April period, first-hand house sales decreased by 15.3 percent compared to the same period of the previous year and became 110 thousand 859.

Mortgaged house sales decreased in April

Mortgaged house sales in Turkey in April decreased by 32 per cent compared to the same month of last year and became 21 thousand 769. The share of mortgaged sales in total house sales was calculated as 25.4 percent. Mortgaged house sales in the January-April period decreased by 19.7 percent compared to the same period of the previous year and decreased to 80 thousand 591.

Second-hand house sales decreased by 39 percent
Second-hand house sales in Turkey decreased by 39.3 percent in April compared to the same month of the previous year and became 58 thousand 700. The share of second-hand house sales in total house sales was 68.5 per cent. In the January-April period, second-hand house sales decreased by 19.9 percent compared to the same period of the previous year and became 258 thousand 8.
