US stainless steel price continues to rise with strong market demand.
Based on the market price in the US, the current domestic demand is much higher than the market supply, causing steelmakers to increase their base prices and surcharges.
In addition, strong market demand has also led to longer shipments, and most market participants believe that the situation will continue until the end of this year.
It has become difficult to predict the future market price of stainless steel in the US, the supply gap situation is expected to be difficult to alleviate in the short term.
US hot rolled steel bar imports increase in June
According to official statistics from the US government, total hot rolled steel bar imports in the US this June amounted to around 71,100 tons, up 8.2 percent month on month and 57 percent year on year.
Among them, the total value of the imported hot rolled steel bars is around US$76 million.
In addition, the main sourcing countries were Canada with approximately 29,600 tons, followed by Japan (12,100 tons), France (12,100 tons), Mexico (5,600 tons) and Germany (4,700 tons).
