Vietnam’s largest steel producer, Hoa Phat Group, has announced that its integrated plants have reached a total 15 million tons of hot-rolled coil (HRC) production capacity. The company achieved this milestone in less than five years through production at its Dung Quat 1 and Dung Quat 2 facilities.

The Dung Quat 1 plant has produced approximately 13.5 million tons,

while Dung Quat 2 has produced around 1.5 million tons of HRC.
Hoa Phat meets the demand of automotive, shipbuilding, home appliance, and galvanized sheet sectors with modern production technology and a broad product range. Its products hold international quality certifications and are exported to the U.S., Mexico, India, Europe, and ASEAN countries.
Experts note that the rapid growth in HRC production by Vietnamese producers may increase competitive pressure in markets such as Türkiye.
