The company announced that it will raise daily crude steel output to 40,000 tonnes in the October–December period. This increase has been made possible by a newly commissioned blast furnace at the Dung Quat No. 2 steel plant in Quang Ngai province, central Vietnam.
The new furnace at Dung Quat No. 2 enables Hoa Phat Group to respond more quickly and efficiently to both domestic and international demand. In particular, the expansion of public investments and the recovery of the housing market in Vietnam are driving strong growth in demand for steel products. The company considers strengthening its production capacity a strategic step to meet this rising demand.
Meanwhile, the Vietnamese government’s decision in July to impose anti-dumping (AD) duties on steel products of Chinese origin will also serve as a significant support for Hoa Phat Group. This measure increases the competitiveness of domestic producers and allows Hoa Phat to further consolidate its market position.
Raising daily production capacity to 40,000 tonnes reinforces Hoa Phat Group’s leadership in Vietnam’s steel sector and aligns with its goal of becoming a stronger player in regional and global markets.
