As global sustainability goals and the circular economy continue to gain momentum, the strategic importance of the secondary metals industry is increasing rapidly. Within this framework, GRMI2026 will bring industry professionals together in Tokyo to focus on low-carbon production, recycling technologies, and global trade dynamics.
Held under the theme “Low Carbon, Global Echoes,” the summit will address market developments across Japan, China, Southeast Asia, Europe, and the United States. The event is expected to welcome over 600 delegates and more than 50 speakers, offering in-depth discussions on key trends and business opportunities shaping the future of the secondary metals sector.
The GRMI2026 program will feature four core forums: Japan Recycling Market, Base Metal Recycling, Battery Recycling, and Renewable Resource & Equipment Technologies. These sessions will cover aluminum, copper, and steel scrap markets, automotive dismantling, lithium and lead-acid battery recycling, as well as closed-loop systems across industrial value chains.
In addition, the summit will showcase advanced recycling technologies, including crushing and sorting equipment, e-waste recycling solutions, and innovative processing technologies. During the gala dinner, industry benchmark awards will be presented to recognize leading companies and professionals within the global recycling sector.
