The award is the only self-nominated category of the fair and honors companies that prioritize sustainability and circular economy values in their exhibition space and company policy. GMH Gruppe has once again demonstrated its leadership in this area with production processes based on energy efficiency, low carbon emissions and the use of recycled materials.
The winners were selected by a three-person expert jury consisting of Giorgio Guidi, Artistic Director of Made in Steel, Marco Citterio, former General Director of Brixia Expo - Fiera di Brescia and Federica Barletta, Director of Ncontemporary Art Gallery.
GMH Gruppe (Georgsmarienhütte Holding GmbH), a large industrial group based in Germany, is known for its production of steel and forgings, especially for the automotive, energy, railway and mechanical engineering sectors. The group is considered one of the pioneers of the green transformation movement in Europe thanks to its approach based on sustainable production. By relying on the recycling of scrap steel in the production process, Group companies have managed to significantly reduce CO₂ emissions.
