Uniting the global cement industry, the 117th INTERCEM conference will once again be hosted by Turkey. INTERCEM 2023 is scheduled to take place in Istanbul from September 5th to 7th, in collaboration with the Cement, Glass, Ceramics, and Soil Products Exporters' Association.
The opening speech at INTERCEM 2023 will be delivered by Fatih Yücelik, Chairman of the Board of Directors of TÜRKÇİMENTO, the umbrella organization of the cement industry in Turkey, ranking fifth globally and leading in Europe in installed capacity. During INTERCEM 2023, cement manufacturers from around the world will convene to analyze the industry's current state and share their expectations for the future.
The panels and conferences held as part of the event will address current industry concerns, including supply chain challenges, production and raw material costs, decarbonization efforts, the Border Carbon Regulation Mechanism, and emissions trading. Attendees can expect to gain valuable data, insights, and analyses related to supply and demand in the sector. Furthermore, an exhibition area will host stands for industry companies to enhance their communication and foster collaboration.
INTERCEM Istanbul, held in September of the previous year, saw participation from approximately 500 industry representatives representing over 60 countries.
