Gerdau has risen to 31st place in the ranking of global steel producers

The World Steel Association (worldsteel) has released its “World's Largest Steel Producers” ranking, compiled based on 2025 crude steel production data.

Gerdau has risen to 31st place in the ranking of global steel producers

The published official list included the annual crude steel production volumes of manufacturers operating on a global scale and their rankings in the global market based on these volumes.

According to the report, Brazil-based steel producer Gerdau moved up two spots in the global rankings based on its production volume in 2025. The company, which ranked 33rd globally in the previous year’s list, moved up to 31st place as a result of its performance in 2025.

Based on the disclosed data, Gerdau’s annual crude steel production volume, recorded at 12.78 million tons for 2024, increased by 2% in 2025. By expanding its crude steel production volume to 13.03 million tons during this period, the company maintained its position as the largest steel producer in Brazil.

The 2025 ranking published by the World Steel Association presented the current status and production capacities of steel producers operating across the Americas in the global market through numerical data. The report highlighted the decisive impact of annual production volume increases or decreases on changes in rankings within the global steel league, supported by data.
