Future of Green Steel 2026 to Bring Together Industry Leaders in London This October

The event will bring together senior stakeholders from across the steel value chain to discuss the commercial, technological, and regulatory dimensions of low-carbon and green steel production.

Previous editions featured leading organisations such as ArcelorMittal, H2 Green Steel, Renault, and GFG Alliance, providing a platform for discussions on the challenges and opportunities surrounding the green transition across the steel sector.

The 2026 programme will focus on key issues shaping the future of green steel, including project execution, investment decisions, offtake agreements, and regulatory frameworks. Discussions will cover the impact of current and future policy measures on green steel markets, pathways for decarbonising steel production, emerging technologies and projects, developments in iron-based feedstocks, the role of green steel in sustainable construction, sustainability reporting and standardisation, as well as solutions to economic and environmental challenges across the supply chain.

The conference will be chaired by Eoin Bailey, Innovation Manager UK at 7 Steel UK.

Confirmed speakers include Roman Perepelytsia, Head of Strategy & Business Development at Metinvest; Matthew Poole, Associate Managing Consultant at CRU; Kaye Ayub, Head of Price Analysis & Forecasts at MEPS International; and Jamie McLeod, Director of Customs and International Trade at Crowe UK. Additional speakers from steel producers, downstream industries, and technology providers are also expected to join the programme.

Future of Green Steel 2026 will attract a broad range of participants, including green steel producers, iron ore and feedstock suppliers, automotive manufacturers, green hydrogen companies, industry associations, policymakers, technology providers, and consulting firms.

The event aims to provide a valuable platform for addressing the commercial and technical challenges facing the steel industry's transition toward net-zero emissions while fostering collaboration across the sector.
