China, India and Türkiye have fully utilized their quotas for 9 different products in their steel exports to the EU.

In the quota period from July 1 to September 30, 2025, China, India and Türkiye have fully utilized their quotas for a total of 7 different products.

According to data obtained by SteelRadar from the European Commission, China used 129,758 tons of 4B metallic coated sheets, 8,169 tons of other welded pipes and 4,974 tons of stainless HR quarto plates. India used 79,534 tons of organic coated sheets, 32,114 tons of stainless bars and light sections and 5,950 tons of seamless stainless tubes and pipes, while Türkiye used up 99,231 tons of wire rod, 84,956 tons of hollow sections, 15,905 tons of organic coated sheets and 15,110 tons of large welded tubes.

Those with quota utilization exceeding 50%

China, South Korea, India and Taiwan used more than 50% of their available quotas for some products. China used 74,810 tons (52.7%) of its 143,225-ton quota for merchant bars and light sections, while South Korea used 40,045 tons (55.7%) of its 72,527-ton quota for organic coated sheets and 155,556 tons (95.4%) of its 190,289-ton quota for HRC. India used 40,540 tons (74.7%) of its 54,768-ton quota of 4A metallic coated sheets, while Taiwan used 27,826 tons (59.7%) of its 47,000-ton quota of stainless HR quarto plates.
