In February 2025, railway shipments of flat steel to Russian welded pipe manufacturers amounted to 255 thousand tons, which is 2% lower than the previous month. On a year-on-year basis, shipments decreased by 11%. Major Russian metallurgical plants shipped 230 thousand tons, while imports accounted for 25 thousand tons.

Total shipments for the first two months of 2025 reached 514 thousand tons, which is 11% lower than the same period last year. At the same time, flat steel shipments for large-diameter pipe production in Russia amounted to 134 thousand tons, increasing by 28% compared to the previous year. Meanwhile, flat steel shipments for medium- and small-diameter pipe production in Russia totaled 381 thousand tons, which is 20% lower than the previous year.

The main consumers of flat steel in Russia in the first two months of 2025 were Chelyabinsk Pipe-Rolling Plant (ChTPZ), Nizhny Tagil Pipe Plant TEM-PO (NTZ TEM-PO), and Novosibirsk Metallurgical Plant named after Kuzmin. Notably, NTZ TEM-PO surpassed Novosibirsk Metallurgical Plant in consumption volumes and secured the second place among the largest consumers.
