The export of 25,000 tons of slab in August was recorded as the first export in the history of Algeria's flat steel sector.
Tosyalı Algeria shared on social media; “First slab export in Algeria's history. Tosyalı Algeria started slab production in May 2024. We exported 25,000 tons of slab in August. We are happy to be a part of Algeria's first flat steel export.”
According to the information received, the first shipment of this export was made to Türkiye. The next destinations are estimated to be the US market.
