Exports of companies from Istanbul exceeded 15 billion in the January-February period

According to the information compiled from the data of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM), the export sales of companies from Istanbul increased by 1 percent in the January-February period compared to the same period of the previous year, and reached 15 billion 55 million dollars.

Istanbul is followed by Kocaeli with 2 billion 761 million dollars, Bursa with 2 billion 483 million dollars, İzmir with 2 billion 283 million dollars, Ankara with 1 billion 635 million dollars, Gaziantep with 1 billion 321 million dollars, Sakarya with 864 million 166 thousand dollars, Manisa with 794 million 146 thousand dollars, Denizli with 648 million 662 thousand dollars and Mersin with 495 million 301 thousand dollars.

The share of companies from Istanbul, which delivered their products to 216 points of the world in the January-February period, in Turkey's exports was 39.6 percent.

Istanbul is the leader in Turkey in export growth

In the 2 months of the year, companies from Istanbul realized the highest increase in exports on a provincial basis. Export sales of companies from Istanbul increased by 150 million 606 thousand dollars in the January-February period compared to the same period of the previous year.

Istanbul is followed by Ankara with 134 million 881 thousand dollars, İzmir with 105 million 946 thousand dollars, Balıkesir with 59 million 233 thousand dollars, Manisa with 47 million 292 thousand dollars, Trabzon with 35 million 554 thousand dollars, Antalya with 35 million 90 thousand dollars, Eskişehir with 27 million 954 thousand dollars, Aydın with 14 million 585 thousand dollars and Muğla with 11 million 826 thousand.

In this period, Balıkesir exported 190 million 104 thousand dollars, Trabzon 214 million 466 thousand dollars, Antalya 352 million 123 thousand dollars, Eskişehir 218 million 5 thousand dollars, Aydın 154 million 318 thousand dollars, Muğla 134 million 816 thousand dollars.
