Export rate of US hot rolled products fell in September

According to statistics from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US exported about 33,300 tons of hot rolled products in September this year, down 8% from the previous month and 18% from the same month of the previous year.

Among them, exports to Mexico had the largest share at around 20,600 tons, down 14.3 percent month on month and up 39 percent year on year. Canada ranked second with roughly 13,000 tons, while exports to other countries remained below 1,000 tons.

During this period, the export value totaled roughly US$56 million, down by 9.4% month on month and 0.53% year on year.
