European Union approves tax on cold rolled steel from China and Russia

The European Commission has announced the extension of a new five-year antidumping tax period for certain categories of cold rolled carbon steel plates, coils and strips imported from China and Russia.

The tax rate in effect since 2016 has not changed. It was recorded as 19.7-22.1% for Chinese suppliers and 18.7% to 36.1% for Russian suppliers.

The re-investigation in this case began in early August 2021. The petition was submitted by the European Metallurgical Union Eurofer three months ago.
