European steel profile market remained stable due to the slow season

Local steel profile prices for Northern Europe delivery were assessed at €740-780 ($805-849) per tonne on Wednesday, unchanged since July 19.

Similarly, local steel profile prices for Southern Europe delivery were assessed at €740-780 per tonne on Wednesday, unchanged since July 19.

Meanwhile, in Turkiye's frontier market, scrap feedstock costs have increased in the past seven days, but trade has slowed down due to limited steel demand in both export and domestic markets.

The daily index for HMS 1&2 (80:20 blend) steel scrap originating from Northern Europe increased by $4.52 to $365.78 per tonne on Wednesday from $361.26 per tonne on 16 August.
