Trade in the European steel market has been slow for the last two weeks due to the holiday. However, ArcelorMittal said that while raising its offer prices for flat steel coil products across Europe, other steelmakers are expected to follow this uptrend.
Sources revealed that rolled coil offer prices rose to €860 per ton delivered, while prices for hot rolled coil with a delivery date in March were €760 ($809) per ton delivered. The producer's hot dip galvanized coil offers are reported as €880 per ton.
