Ereğli Demir ve Çelik Fabrikaları TAŞ (Erdemir) announced that a gold mine was encountered in the mine site within the body of Erdemir Madencilik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. (Ermaden), a subsidiary of the company, located within the borders of Sivas.
In the statement made, it was stated that it was decided to initiate reserve determination studies in order to determine the possible reserve amount.
In the statement made by the company to the Public Disclosure Platform, it was stated as follows:
“Gold mine has been encountered in the mine site located within the borders of Sivas province, which is owned by Erdemir Madencilik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. (Ermaden), a subsidiary of our company. In this context, it has been decided to initiate reserve determination studies in accordance with the National Mineral Resource and Reserve Reporting Commission (UMREK) standards in order to measure the possible reserve amount.”
